The Science
The nervous system, the body’s most important organ system, serves as a master controller. It comprises of the brain, spinal cord and a complex network of nerves.
Both the brain and the spinal cord are protected by bone. While your brain is protected by the skull, your spinal cord is surrounded by a set of vertebrae. In Spinal Flow Technique, these vertebrae are grouped together into seven specific areas referred to as gateways of the spine.
When the spine is fully mobile and flexible it supports optimal health and healing. A healthy spine allows the nervous system and Life Force Energy to flow freely to and from all cells, tissues and organs throughout the body.
However, when the body is unable to release stress, whether it be physical, emotional or chemical, it can be stored as blockages in the spine. This can cause the vertebrae to lose their normal position or movement, potentially leading to dysfunction in the nervous system and ultimately, ill health.
Pain, illness and disease can all be traced to a blockage in one of the seven gateways of the spine. When a gateway becomes blocked, it can place stress on the entire nervous system.

The Technique
Spinal Flow is a unique and innovative healing technique that aims to detect, release and help prevent blockages of the spine and nervous system.
Rooted in chiropractic science, Spinal Flow also incorporates elements from other healing modalities to create a non-invasive, holistic approach to over-all wellbeing.
During the initial assessment and throughout the healing journey, each of the seven gateways of the spine will be checked for areas of stress and blockages.
By gently touching access points on the spine or skull, Spinal Flow directly interacts with the nervous system to activate your body’s innate intelligence and healing abilities. These contacts enable your body to rediscover its natural state of harmony and balance.
Each session focuses on increasing the flow of Life Force Energy, which helps to release layers of stress, reduce blockages and promote positive change and transformation.
As the nervous system heals and the spine restores to normal function and structure, the body can progress to greater health, ease and balance.
What to expect
After your initial assessment, most treatment session will last between 20 – 30 mins but allow up to 45 minutes to discuss your progress. Babies and children tend to respond more quickly so their sessions may be shorter.
Healing is a gradual process that may involve periods of highs and lows as you move towards better health. While some clients enjoy immediate results, others with long standing chronic issues may find their recovery takes several months. A treatment plan will be discussed with you at your initial visit and a schedule of appointments agreed.
You may experience a variety of responses after your Spinal Flow session. Reactions and responses in the body are part of the natural healing process and are normal and expected.
People respond differently to healing due to individual differences in physiology, nervous system regulation, and emotional experiences. The body's healing journey is therefore unique for each person.
Following restoration of spinal function and ease of symptoms, many clients enjoy regular Spinal Flow session as a maintenance plan. This helps to keep any new minor problems from becoming more serious.
